Used with MacDoc. The MacDoc Writer is a printer driver which will be used to create either standard or stand-alone MacDocuments from almost any application. Creating MacDocuments is just like printing, but your documents will be written to a file (a MacDocument) instead of being printed to a sheet of paper.
